this year was pretty good. i actually just found out i passed all 5 of my classes last semester and i was almost sure i had failed atleast one of them. so im pretty stocked about that. i got my car fixed today, it has heat again and working windshield wipers. im getting prepared for the new year.
film stuff was good this year, while alot of filmed everything im really looking forward to seeing isnt done editing yet. this is my last year at lcc and possibly my last year in michigan. but who knows.
also i have business cards now an im trying to get a website made. heres to the new year.

hi, this is whats happening in my life at the moment.
were about 3/4s of the way done shooting our new movie The Death Of John Beeler. starring ME as john beeler, which is kinda cool. and i get to be on a poster and everything which is even cooler.
we have a few different pictures and we are still messing around with the font. we are going to have postcard sized and some small posters available at some point. so that's pretty exciting to me.
the music is going to be done by Tim Fite who is pretty cool, and i cant really believe he said he would. heres a few video check him out. he did that song shanequa dont live here no more like ten years ago. i think i remember that.
ill be in new york the 20th to the 30th this year. that is always fun.
the semester is almost over. i mean like a week away. !!!!!
pretty much i go to school i go to work i go to school i go to work. i try to find time to shoot. i try to sleep in at least once a week. i actually have nothing to do tomorrow for once in a long time. i saw bolt in 3d, it was fun. I LOVED WALL-E. john 2 shot an 11 point buck. i shot a movie.
i wanna go watch the new episode of heroes. eclipse part 2, here i come.

schools started. my classes are as follows.

this is my last year at lcc. im not sure what im doing after. there is alot of talk about moving to new mexico. im not sure how i feel about this.
ive been watching mythbusters before bed these last few nights. its helped me get settled in. oh i moved. i live by lcc now, a block or two away. its nice, i enjoy walking to class. i live by myself now, so far i like it. i dont spend a lot of time at home though, i think chomps is lonely. i have a claw bath tub which is the highlight of my place. its worth mentioning.
i start editing my movie tomorrow. well the trailer for it. and thats if they let me into the editing labs, its still the first week of school and we really aren't supposed to edit yet.
right now im eating frozen mangos and they have become a staple in my everyday life. im trying to branch out into other frozen fruit but so far mangos are the way to go.

so i shot about 8/10s of my balloon movie this weekend. it should be pretty amazing. we got to take the camera on every carnival ride they had. i know i havent been updating at all but ive ben really busy with alot of stuff. i dont even spend time with chomps anymore. :(

this friday the LCC film festival is hapening. its no big deal but i will be in like 5 or so movies and if you want to come and support me that would be nice. its free and there should be alot of shorts that might be ok?

first we made this in class a few weeks ago. once again shot in hd but this was just a lighting assignment. we made a fake trailer, film noir because its fucking great. this guy from class edited it. i like the music and the typewriter. he did a good job.
also this peter bjorn and john video is nice.

so i think i have like a month left of school. after that i might take summer classes? i dont know i havnt decded yet. also apparently we are taking a cruise in june, ive always wanted to go on a cruise, i am very excited. so here is one of three commercials we made last week. although this is probably my least favorite. the others arnt uploaded yet because i didnt edit them.
also i saw this movie the other night. it was all about controlling your dreams, martin freeman keeps seeng this girl in his dreams, and ventually he falls in love with her. it was a really interesting movie. it wasnt amazing i just liked liked the subject matter. Nancy you really need to watch it, its at my house waiting for you.
also if you can find this book.
buy it, its only two dollars and you will be happy forever.
i work all weekend as per usual. friday night we are planning out "cat party 2: Hotlanta" and some more commericals we are making. this time hey are about junk mail i guess.
i learned how to waltz yesterday. it was the most fun ive had in a while.

so lets update.
what is new??? hmmmm
well we shot some budlight commercials ill have those uploaded by monday for everyone to see. they are just as rediculous as ever. ohhh, so do you remember cat party? its a short i made little over a year ago when i was doing those movie a days. well some people at school saw it and its been passed around most of school and people LOVE cat party. so much so that a sequal is being planned out. it might even be the next thing we do. if you dont remember cat party, lets refresh your memory.
other than that? ive just been going to school weekdays. working weekends. being into a girl whos not into me(maybe not?!), but whatelse is new. ummmmm
im seeing ira glass on saturday. should be amazing.
i bought the ten last week. and ive watched it about ten times now. so fucking good.

so we made a few ketchup commercials for this contest. here they are with my very own judgements on them. yay!.
lets do this!
this is the best one by far, its a there will be blood spoof. i havnt seen it but ive seen the clip of this part and we did it pretty well. jerry was great and we shot it in hi def. that moustache cost ten dollars and was worth its weight in gold.
i like this one too. its not really suppossed to make sense. we rolled for 30 minutes on this. it was halarious.
this one was pretty good too. but this is what happens when you dont white balance. widescreen ftw.
this one i think is mt first shower scene. way to go me. its alright. meh.
this one was a great concept. i did all the picture stuff. the audio sucks though and jerry didnt nail it. it just doesnt work for me.
hahaha this one im starting to like. greer edited it and put that fucking zoom shot in there 3 times. he didnt even notice he did it. but some guy in korea said he liked it like 20 minutes after it was up.
so, im big in korea.
EDIT: people seem to love the talking hotdogs one. lots of people have said its there favorite. really? the talking hot dog one? none of us get it. i mean we like it and think its so stupid its funny. but we did not think it was our strongest. it is a surprise.

so i woke up in the middle of the night last night with my mouth hurting extremely bad. it was awful, i couldnt fall back asleep for hours. i woke up around noon and it was still pretty bad. but then me and jerry met kate and liz (fellow film students) and jeff hamlin (head of the film department at lcc) to help him make this movie. it was all about this stripper and all these guys that she sleep with and i hear there was going to be a rape scene. thats all i know about it anyway, i know there is more story but all ive seen shot is her getting into guys cars and being propositined. it was very strange because jeff is a really funny really conservative and kinda religious. it was fucking freezing out though.
i had an emergency dentist appointment and all he did was sand one off my teeth down and tell me to eat soft food for two weeks. thanks alot doc. i had damaged a nerve or something, i wouldnt reccomend doing that.
work has been lame. nancy is quitting so i need to get out of there or i will be all alone with people i dont care about.
tomorrow we are shooting 8 ketchup commercials, they are so fucking rediculous. there is no other way to describe. each one is rediculous in one way or another. i closed tonight and have to open tomorrow, and my tooth still sucks. but i have this really strong advil now and it makes it almost all go away. im taking more then it says i should though.....

ok so lets talk buissness first,
currently in the works.
an old indian man who talks to me about existensial issues wants me to make a movie for one of his paintings or something. sounds neat.
working on a short with mike burlucci who i worked with in detriot last year and i will actually get paid for it.
working on a feature length with some friends that is composed of 6 michigan director telling a story that is his movie. im going to film mine at the hot air ballon race thing so it has this really pretty back drop. its a great idea, dont steal it.
i am offically on spring break.
im not doing much besides.
making a movie with my film teacher (exciting!!!! he is amazing!!!)
but more importantly. we (brave little seaman shooting crew) are entering this heinz kepchup competition where you make a 30 second commercial. we are going to bombard them with 20 or so or however many we can make over break. we have some pretty funny ideas, i dont expect to win anything but i bet we make some really funny things.
im glad we are all working so hard to make some movies. maybe they will get good soon?

so this is the movie we made last weekend.
the criteria were it had to be made in 48 hours and it had to be 5 minutes long.
we had to have a flash light in it and the words "ive always depended on the kindness of strangers" and we had to be at a coffee shop at some point. it turned out good. i think its halarious. when they showed it tonight we had the most laughs out of all of them, and we went first, so i like that. but we didnt plce at all, or get honerable mention. all the ones that won were not that good it was dissapointing. all my favorites lost. im pretty bummed out about it. oh also the theme was naughty but nice.

so apparently im doing the 48/5.
48/5 is for the east lansing film festival. you have 48 hours to make a movie that is 5 minutes long. you have to include a prop and a line of dialuage they give you and some other things but besides that you have complete artistic control. i get to direct most of ours. we wrote the script today. we shoot tomorrow and we edit on sunday.
we have a really funny, really good idea.
and i think this is the best team of people ive worked with so far.
ill post the video when i get it.
my recent obsession is asobi seksu. more dream pop.
if you dont know who they are get on the band wagon.
